A vintage handmade Mexican folk art wedding doll lasso necklace with an extra large paper maché 3 3/4" doll. The doll is dressed in a long woven plaid skirt with a white and gray woven blouse. The doll's face is embroidered on nylon, and the head is framed with a white headband and brown netted scarf on her head.
The twisted lasso links alternate between 1/2" round smooth and 1/2" pierced diamond patterned silver balls. The lasso links are embellished with little red peppers and tiny paper dolls. The faces on the tiny dolls are painted. The necklace measures approximately 28" in total length. It slips over the head, so there's no closure.
The necklace lasso is unmarked, but the links and balls appear to be silver or Alpaca silver. There's some color loss on the red peppers, but otherwise the necklace is in very good vintage condition. See photos for details.
